Just curious if The Bodyguard and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory will transfer to Broadway in the near future? I had heard a while ago that both would be. Thoughts?

I'm sure they will get here sometime. What I really want is the new production of Urinetown to transfer!

Regarding The Bodyguard - rumours/gossip on the UK message boards suggest that The Bodyguard may not transfer until Heather Headley's option runs out or she can be bought out. The show supposedly did not do well until she left and Beverly Knight took on the role. But that's just internet gossip.
I've read that Marc Shaiman says Charlie is coming to the US and he supposedly is at work on some revisions. I saw it in London and was very underwhelmed. In its current state, it could suffer the same fate as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which we thoroughly enjoyed in London but did not succeed in the US.
It will be interesting to see how Wolf Hall (I and II) and King Charles III fare on Broadway.

I agree with ggersten about Charlie.
Bodyguard will not transfer, this was another bad show.
Could be possible that a cracking production of Gypsy that garnered 5 stars reviews could transfer, I am on my way back now from seeing this at Chichester. Imedia Staunton was awesome.
Surprised that the Menier production of Merrily We Roll Along hasn't transferred, especially as Sondheim hasn't been done for a long time on Broadway and since Forum has been cancelled nothing seems to be on the horizon.
