I've seen clips from the London primeire and thought it looked wonderful. Did anyone here go see it? With the original being closed for almost 12 years, I was hoping this production would have transferred. Any thoughts or opinions on the production would be wonderful. Jenna Russell as Pennywise seems perfect to me.

Didn't this production close quickly in London? I can't recall if it was meant to be a limited run, but I don't believe that was the intention. I would say there is no change it will transfer.

I think OP is questioning the possibility of a transfer of the production to Broadway, not to the West End.

I saw it in the original run at the St James and was one of the only two times I've witnessed an English audience give and standing ovation. I, however, did not stand. I was clearly in the minority who thought the actors and director didn't get the tone of the piece or the humor correctly. I found Jenna Russell to be good, but she and that part both have potential to be stand-outs. Richard Fleeshman looked gorgeous, but sounded pretty bad the day I saw him and was so so so bland, not at all winning, charming or funny.
But like I said, the audience went crazy at the end and it got wonderful reviews. This production wasn't for me.

I saw the show twice at the St James and thought Jenna Russell was brilliant. Like nasty_khakis, there was a standing ovation after Run, Freedom Run and while I enjoyed the show; I don't think it was warranted. I love Richard Fleeshman but was pretty disappointed in his performance. He was bland and if I recall correctly, he forgot the words a number of times. Normally I'd let it slide but it was pretty noticeable. Again, the show wasn't bad but it could have been much much better. Ultimately I remember it more negatively than others because I am such a fan of Fleeshman. After I saw it once, I wanted to give him another chance but didn't see any improvements.
