I have been on this WSS kick this weekend and was thinking if someone gave me a couple million dollars to do a revival of WSS, who would I cast in it? Now, I am posing this question to you guys. Who would you cast in your ideal WSS revival?

If someone gave you a couple million dollars, you wouldn't get further than a major city center in your state. Try doing that in NY, and you'd be told your numbers are way too low. A Broadway show on the low end is roughly ten-and-a-half, maybe fifteen, million dollars these days.
Also, one typically does not open a dream casting thread without sharing their own ideas first, but that's your prerogative.

Preferably "ethnic" people to play the parts of the Sharks. Preferably Latino, but Asian or black would work too. I'm sick of listening another poor Spanish accent while watching/listening to West Side Story. Only flipping your r's while speaking English does NOT make it a Spanish accent. Good Lord.

Signature Theater in Arlington is doing a production of WSS next month, if anyone is that eagerly dying to see the show again.

Also Papermill is doing the show in the spring. We could dream cast the production but it'll probably end up being mostly unknowns.

My vote would be a somewhat revisionist take on WSS, which I outline in more detail here.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has heard of the apocryphal “dancer’s ‘Jet Song’ parody”:
“When you’re a Jet
You’re a Jet all the way
From your first pirouette
To your last grand jeté”
It's not apocryphal. It's by Brian Kaman, who played Baby John in the 980 Broadway revival.

It's also returning to NYC for a few days in March thanks to Carnegie Hall, with Skylar Astin as Tony and Bianca Marroquin as Anita.

I will credit him accordingly.
