A bit of a personal thread question, I know, but we've had plenty of threads about workout songs and "I want" songs, and the like... now I'm curious to hear which songs from any Broadway musical are guaranteed to make you cry (and try your best to limit yourself to five, just for a fun challenge!). Here's mine:
5. "It's Quiet Uptown," Hamilton
4. "Wicked Little Town (Reprise)," Hedwig and the Angry Inch
3. "Move On," Sunday in the Park with George
2. "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story," Hamilton
I don't cry much, and there's certainly no song that's guaranteed to make me cry, but these songs have elicited a few tears in the context of their shows:
"21 Guns" in American Idiot "True Colors" in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert "Morning Glow" in Pippin "Please Let Me Tell You" in The Most Happy Fella "Somewhere" in West Side Story
