When they are uninspired or in-between shows, what do Broadway and Off Broadway actors, directors, designers and playwrights do to "fill the cup?"
To reenergize and find new inspiration for creativity?
I read that Stephen Sondheim sees movies and gets his inspiration from visuals.
Any other ideas?

I like to get dumped, then I have much more motivation and inspiration to write.
It is typical for Broadway musical performers to do cabaret and concert performances when they aren't in a show. Also, some like to paint, i.e. Lauren Molina.

I read that Richard Rodgers would compose while taking a walk.
It's called alcohol. Ever heard of it?

Not the same cup.
That'll dehydrate you and drain the cup.
But before it drains it will make life better.

Between vices, I'll choose an excess of dark chocolate instead.
Any other ways to "fill the cup?"
Many teach dance/voice/acting on the side and/or inbetween shows.
Go see a few shows. If they are terrible, I feel better about myself. If they are wonderful, I feel inspired.
And then walk my dog. Or swing on a swing at the park. That helps a lot.

Who says you have to wait until your show is over to do that?

I know we like to think of Broadway performers as being somehow more centered or balanced than us because they are performers, dancers, etc. But they do all the same things we do and hope to find inspiration in the meantime: hang with their loved ones and friends, look for love (or troll for sex), grocery shop, cook, enjoy hobbies, workout, train, watch bad tv, pet their dogs and cats, take their kids to school, bake cookies, masturbate, order chinese take-out, look for jobs, read magazines, enjoy an ice cream cone or slice of pizza, audition, plan vacations, clean their house (or procrastinate about cleaning). I think they find inspiration and beauty wherever they can and they are probably surpised, like most of us, when they find it. They are just like you and I, only they are trained actors instead of accountants, social workers, teachers, etc.
