Gypsy will be the next to close, even though its not really a long running show. After the college kids are back (this week?), Rent will have a VERY hard winter. I bet that it will be the next.

RENT (and every other show) always suffers during the winter months. No suprise there. Luckily, RENT isn't too costly so it's been able to survive for a while.
Really, attendance the past few weeks have been very good (the Holidays always do that) so I STILL don't see how people can say it will be gone in only a year? that seems very premature to me.

I'm just realizing now that I hate these threads. It does no good to anyone to guess about which show is closing next. Because really, nobody here can know and we all just have to wait and see when the next closing notice goes up.

Princess.. there could be ONE PERSON in that whole damn theatre for an entire week and every Rent head would STILL be saying that the show would never close......

honestly, as much as I love RENT, eventually it is going to close. we all know this. probably not in a year, but likely in a few. 8 years is a while (is it 8?) and all good things must end. I hope it doesn't for a while, but it's a fact we're going to have to accept when it does.
