As for right now, I can't really decide, but I would love to see "Forbidden Broadway". It looks absolutely hilarious.

Isn't it like parody's of original Broadway music? Does it have any kind of story line or dancing?
In a way, I think I am trying to ask- what is the difference between going to the show and buying the CD? Of course- going to a show is 10X better but is there really much of a meaningful story?
EDIT: Is Bat Boy playing Off Broadway in NYC?

Raggy Q poo - "Forbidden Broadway SVU" is a satirical revue... its kind of a Broadway version of Saturday Night Live. It's been playing Off-Broadway for close to 25 years. They basically take Broadway tunes that everyone knows, and change the lyrics. Example... "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from the Lion King becomes "Can You Feel the Pain Tonight" (The strain this head dress brings/The cracking bones, the tearing cartlidge/Kills all living things...)featuring 2 cast members from the show in nackbraces. Anoth Example... The Wicked number features Kristin Chenoweth & Idina Menzel being best friends, until Idina wins the Tony... then the hate eachother, which leads to Idina singing "Defying Chenoweth" (So put me in a harness/And hoist me to the sky/In all the big shows lately/All the leading ladies have to fly!"
Of course it isn't REALLY Kristin and Idina there... but if someone wasn't to keen on the show, they might think it was. The show feature 4 cast members (2 men, 2 women) and a piano player. Currently its Ron Bohmer, Jason Mills, Megan Lewis and Jennifer Simard. Jennifer's performance is by far the highlight of the evening... her dead on impersonations of Kristin Chenoweth, Julie Andrews, Judy Garland, Bernadette and so many others are amazing!
I'd say go see the show.... NOW!!! The new "FB: SVU" CD will be out in a few weeks, and it's def gonna be worth buying. But if you just hear the cast recording, you miss out on the hilarious movements and the super-fast costume changes that occur during the show. So go see it, and then buy the CD... it'll be worth every penny... I promise you!!!
PS - I put some pics from "Forbidden Broadway SVU" so you can get the idea of how the show works....

Ron Bohmer does the best Phantom. He adds a great laugh.
Jen Simard does a perfect Chenoweth and Bernadette.
Megan Lewis has Idina down to a science and her Carol Channing makes me howl. She can't get Patti like the understudy.
I love the understudy as Pati and Liza.
And Christine Pedi has the best range. Her Dame Edna and Liza are priceless.
The entire cast are brilliant performers.
BRILLIANT.
I do miss a few of the old cast. Donna English as Julie Andrews is incredible, Michael West does an amazing Harvey and they are missed.
Love them all.
And the young cute guy is hot and makes me howl in "I am my own wife. And his body. He is hot.
