re: What Is Your Favorite Off Broadway show

My favorite of all time that didn't transfer to Bway is Bat Boy!

Open right now i have to agree with Corine2 Forbidden broadway, Altar boyz, and I loved Tom D'Angoras Divas I've Done.

Also Corine2 Christine Pedi is the special guest Diva at Divas I've Done tomorow so maybe I'll see you there. I'm going back for that one.......

I love Pedi as Patti LuPone. The MASTER CLASS send-up, "Patti Class (O, Mio Bambino, Callas", had me rolling in the aisles!

Haven't seen too many but I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change was hilarious. Am seeing Dessa Rose and Altar Boyz this week. Also saw Forbidden Broadway last summer!

from what i've seen- the vagina monologues
from what i have read or heard- last five years, the normal heart, tick tick boom
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Well I've only seen one and adored it
Forbidden Broadway!!!
"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

Ron Bohmer plays The Phantom in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY? That's funny! He actually played The Phantom in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. And he is married to Sandra Joseph, the current Christine.

By the way, I am still loving PRODIGAL.

It's either "Balm in Gilead" or "Fool for Love".

Little Shop of Horrors (can't believe no one mentioned it...it will always be an off-broadway show to me) Bat Boy, Alter Boyz, The Shape of Things, Debbie Does Dallas, Hedwig. And for their fabulous campy parodies Forbidden Broadway and Divas I've Done (Defying Chenowith and Somewhere Thats Pink being my favorites)
