"Coco" has little score to begin with, and without Hepburn, I'd be willing to wager that it would not do well.

I'd LOVE to see "Ballroom," but I don't buy Murphy as Bea...I'd rather see Bernadette Peters, or maybe, if it wouldn't be to against the material, Phylicia Rashad.

I figure with Mufti AND Reprise! doing "Superman," an Encores! Production is several years away.

As to "Carrie"...I have a feeling it's going to be this year's AFA Concert...I have no real evidence, just a feeling.

They did ONE TOUCH OF VENUS the same season they did the now famous CHICAGO concert. It starred David Garrison, Melissa Errico, Jane Krakowski, Andy Taylor, and Carol Woods.
Husk, I would also love Bernadette Peters as Bea. I just find it curious that she has never done an Encores! so I picked Murphy who has a strong connection with them. Either one would be great in my book. No Phylicia Rashad, please.
I agree they don't need a theme. It'd be great to have an ANYONE CAN WHISTLE revival. No Judy Kaye though. I'd love to have Donna McKechnie, Victoria Clark, or Christine Ebersole as Cora, Jane Krakowski as Nurse Apple, and I love the Jason Danieley idea.

Eric, was the scores for SCANDAL ever completed? I think one year Encores! should do a season with shows that were never able to make it to Broadway but that had some potential, LOLITA MY LOVE and SCANDAL (if it was indeed completed) would be fabulous choices if they were ever to do something like that.

-If they would do Carrie I think I would be the happiest man on earth.

-I would love to see someone to give another stab at "Sayonara" that was done in the 80's at Papermill it has some great stuff in it.

-I would like to add another vote for Gentleman Prefer Blondes I saw a Non-Equity tour last year and thought the show was really cute.
