the first thing i'll miss will be the colors.
(those strange dusky oranges & grays of the balloon girl's get-up...)
then the orchestra.
then the feeling of people believing in & enjoying what they are doing.
I'm really going to miss the trumpet soloist at the end of the overture... who was he???
The fact that I didn't get to see it.
I already miss this production It was defintely the best thing I've ever seen!

Leigh Ann Larkin, Benanti's "Moo moo moo moo," Patti's "For me," and "If Momma Was Married."
Those moments will forever be with me when I recall what a perfect show this was to see. Abundancy of brilliance, top notch interpretations, impressive acting and singing, and really hilarious moments. Thank you City Center!
The overbearing number of threads on BWW!

Somebody, please bring back this show with the whole cast intact. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So MANY things.
1. Together Wherever We Go as a whole. That number made my LIFE.
2. I agree about Laura's moo moos. CLASSIC.
3. Leigh Ann's "niiiiiiiine" and her " what did the cow say?"
4. If Momma Was Married. The harmonies between the 2 of them sent shivers down my spine.
5. Patti moving the pig onstage.
6. Patti's "momma is gonna see to it"
I have more but thats enough for now.
5. Patti moving the pig onstage
Oh my God, I forgot that! That was hysterical!
And "IT'S A TRAIN, GET IT?"
God, a lot.
1. The "You'll Never Get Away From Me" dance section, especially Patti's first "Come dance with me."
2. "WHOO WHOO! IT'S A TRAIN!"
3. We all take a bow/including the cow.
4. The Herbie/Rose confrontation scene. Unbelievable.
5. Patti's delivery of "talent for the deaf, dumb and blind, maybe"
6. Laura's reaction to the "I had a dream" bit.
7. The pig thing. Oh my god.
MUCh more.

Oh and of course "Stop the train! Stop the music" *hiss* *thud* "Stop everything."
I hope this doesn't get this thread deleted, but if anyone knows anything about a video (and I don't mean PBS, if you get what I'm sayin') Will you PM me?

This clip of the real Gypsy Rose Lee makes Laura's wonderful performance even more uncanny.

Uh, ditto ahmelie's post.
Thanks.
"Honey, can I have a spoon to stir my tea?"
Gaines' "Instead of standing up to you?" was fabulous.
I remember that in other productions it always seemed a bit funny, though I never took it as such. At City Center Patti looked almost hurt by it, that was one of my favourite moments between Patti and Boyd.
And Laura's "No."
I died laughing at that.

STUFFED CHOWSIE and STUFFED LITTLE LAMB...
Ok, I'll attempt to narrow it down to a top 5:
-The fight between Laura and Patti. I had chills like no other during that scene.
-Laura's transformation...nothing short of incredible.
-Rose's Turn. No words can even describe just how amazing that was.
-Laura's "moos"
-Leigh Ann and Laura's "If Momma Was Married". It was absolutely gorgeous. Can they please do another duet together sometime soon?
And basically every other little moment that occured. Oh, and when Herbie left Rose. Ahh, and the pig! Hysterical! Ok, I just need to stop now, but God could I keep going...
So, we're taking a BWW field trip to see this on the West End, right?
In all seriousness to this thread and this incredible production the part that really got to me and really almost had me in tears was Herbie and Rose's breakup. Patti and Boyd complimented each other...that scene just about tore my heart out. Boyd was hands down the best Herbie I've ever seen.
Laura Benanti and Sammi Gayle.
