That's actually a good point.
Okay, than how about Mary Kay Place?
How about Mary Kate Olson?
Are you serious? Ashley would be much better and displays a much broader range of emotion in her films. Just watch her in "Bilboard Dad" or even "Passport to Paris" and you'll see what I mean.
well don, matty!

Judy Davis/Kevin Spacey - perfection (although I'd STILL like to see Stockard!)
And just another vote of YES for THE REF - the dinner with wreathes on their heads almost causes me to stop breathing from laughing so hard.
I like the idea of Mary Kay Place.
How about Catherine O'Hara?

Jane and Joan physically wouldn't be right for Martha...Martha needs to have a little more..uh...mass to her.
Kathy Bates is Martha.

Mr. Midwest, I LOVE the idea of seeing Catherine O'Hara in that role. She has such a freedom in her work, I'd love to see the darker side of her, especially in that role.
Judy Davis would probably be brilliant.
I love Joan Allen, but I can't imagine her in a role in which she's not an emotionally stifled WASP.
Stockard Channing, maybe. I wonder if she has the emotional chops. I saw both she and Kelly Bishop in "Six Degrees...", and much to my surprise, it was a far better play with Kelly in the lead role. Stockard was a bit more comical, and Kelly really got to the heart of it.
