What are Jeff & Bobby going to do with "For Now" after 2008?

Of course, the name "George Bush" gets applause every performance, but what's going to happen to that line after the 2008 election? They can't keep that in there because it'll seem anachronistic. Another problem is that, so far, I've found that no name of any of the potential candidates fit the rhythm of the line.

Well, 'The President' fits, they could use that.
If that doesn't work, maybe 'George Bush! Was only for then!'

How about...just maybe...deleting the entire verse? It could work, they got rid of the bridge in "Schadenfreude", why wouldn't they do it again?

OR, why does it have to mention the president? Can't it be something else bothersome to the American public? They are plenty of things, you know...

I just had a great idea to keep the show Democratic. Instead of saying the name of the President, how about saying something like, "FOX NEWS is only for now." In my opinion, it's a great fit in terms of the rhythm, plus it subliminally adds an extra swear into the show!!

Yeah, it probably won't be around.

I imagine the name will just be changed to antoher asshole Republican. I'm sure there will be lots of options, even after Bush's term is over.
