What are the chances of CHICAGO beating ACL
#1What are the chances of CHICAGO beating ACL
Posted: 9/21/09 at 6:22pmI was thinking that it looks like the revival of Chicago might actually run longer then the original ACL. Anyone else think this might happen>

Posted: 9/21/09 at 6:50pmIt would be a shame if it did. I can't believe people are still flocking to that piece of crap at the Ambassador Theatre.

Posted: 9/21/09 at 7:04pmWait- which one is at the Ambassador? All I know is that I agree with Kalimba if she's saying A Chorus Line is the most overrated piece of shiite in the history of theater.

Chicago is at the Ambassador - and holding up quite nicely. Was a near SRO this weekend. Don't want to see it, Kalimba? Don't go. The audiences still love it.
ACL closed about a year ago, Joe, but it is doing well on tour.

Posted: 9/21/09 at 7:11pmI really didn't like Chicago when I saw it with the dreadfulness that was Melora Hardin.

Posted: 9/21/09 at 7:11pmThey're talking about the original production, love, not the revival.

No, they are talking about the revival of Chicago:
"I was thinking that it looks like the revival of Chicago might actually run longer then the original ACL."
Or were you referring to Chorus Line (because I am not sure who you are addressing)?

Blaxx, if you would use posters' names instead of condescending diminutives, people might understand who you're talking to and what you're talking about.
For the record, I personally think that the revival of Chicago has a very good chance of beating out the original ACL.

I always preferred the Original Chicago to a Chorus line in every way.

Blaxx was referring to the post above his which would have been ghostlight's but DCR posted at the same time. Personally, I didn't think it was that hard to figure out who he was talking about.

Posted: 9/21/09 at 7:26pmThe show Chicago is good - the present revival is dreadful.

I guess a lot of people were fooled into thinking it was a great show.
As a revival, it is better than most original shows but it is a semi concert version of the original. The original was brilliant.

"Wait- which one is at the Ambassador?"
I was answering Joe's question, blaxx. If he didn't know which show was at the Ambassador, he clearly didn't know that ACL was closed. Hence my post. \
eta: the OP's post was perfectly clear to me.
