We are her loving fans . That’s who we are.. And I personally don’t get a kick out of seeing the same concert with the same patter. She is better than that.. loveher and I won’t miss a stop near me."
I also am a loving fan, but do not feel entitled to say "she is better than that" about her career and/or concert song selections. If we do not like what she offers we can choose not to attend.

Well I do. I pay for my tickets. So I am certainly entitled. And it is not about song selection. I love every time she does Time Heals, or Children Will Listen. She just needs to put on a new show. And I certainly don't need to hear about her apartment again. I mean.. its been 20 years of the same patter.
I agree with GeorgeandDot. I would love to see her in a new show.

She certainly can continue her concert gigs. And, although she may not be an "A" name for TV and film, she's certainly known, so I'm sure that occasional cameos and supporting characters will be available to her, given availability. Perhaps creating another leading role in a Broadway musical may not be in the cards at this point, but there are still options and opportunities for us to see her. (I hope!)

on WWHL, she said she planned to write a book eventually. I hope that holdstrue!"
Nice, something to look forward to! Luckily, I have a friend who likes her just as much and can join me that evening.
As far as her set list, I can understand how it can get 'old' having an artist sing the same songs over and over, however, if we look at pop music, great acts such as Chicago and Fleetwood Mac who haven't releases new material in decades successfully tour with the same set lists year after year. It's not like you see them every day to become bored I suppose.
And I look forward to a biography, if she indeed writes one!

Interesting. I don't know much about this play (or plays, in general, as I prefer musicals,) but, I remember my mother loved Dynasty when I was a kid and just a few years ago I felt nostalgic and decided to buy the series to watch what the big deal was about this show at the time. I watched the whole series and I noticed that as for Linda Evans, though the role of Crystal suited her well, I could not see her as a stage actress at all. Think she is one of those people in life that just get REALLY lucky that one time in life and that luck just carries them to the end. Joan Colins is indeed the stage actress and probably played well.
I definitely would prefer seeing Bernadette Peters play strong, successful women roles at this point in her life, like Gloria Windsor in Morzart in the Juggle. Not like the role she played in Everything's Coming Up Roses, a dvd movie I came across that i think it was shot in '12. She played a struggling mom and 'has been' broadway star with two 20-something year old daughters that couldn't move past her husband abandoning them...too boring to watch...

I don't get your remark. Aren't we just having a little fun here with meaningless conversation about meaningless things really - a break from the every day hardships?
Why ruin it with your sarcasm? No need to contribute if you can't see the point.
