I really want to see a SOLID West Side Story Revival. But that is not for awhile. Maybe Bye Bye Birdie...

Why so many revivals? Yuck! I want to see some original work..something that is new and exciting! There are pleanty of talented writers out there with great new ideas (i'm sure) so let's give them some hope instead of pushing for a revival or ANOTHER adaptation or something...

I have many friends who have seen it in Boston..they said it was horrible. It's good that they saved themselves the embarrasment and not brought it to Broadway. Even if Christina WAS in it, it would have still been weak and ticket sales would have been low. A.) she's not THAT big of a star B.) not many people want to see this show...why did it even need a revival?
It was wise on the producers' parts. I still do feel bad for the cast and crew that worked hard.."That's show biz" though.

Doesn't matter what size the Hirschfeld is. It's not a Nederlander Theatre - so PETER PAN couldn't take it anyway.

The Sweeney Todd revival needs a small home.
And while I'd rather have new musicals as a general rule, if we're going to have a revival, make it Dreamgirls. :)

PRINCESSES!! It's new, fresh, very original.
About a bunch of cooler-than-thou high schoolers putting on a production of A Little Princess as a last-ditch attempt by their lame music teacher to save Arts Ed. in the school. When one girl's actor dad (People mag's Sexiest Man Alive) volunteers to help, suddenly the kids all get a lot more interested. A funny, touching father-daughter story with a score of girl-pop and lush traditional tunes by Matthew Wilder and David Zippel, and a bunch of insanely talented young women who look and act so high school, but sing like demons!
Played Goodspeed's Norma Terris this fall, at Seattle's 5th Avenue (whence came Hairspray) this summer. Next stop Hirschfeld? One can only hope!

Waiting for guffman would be such a hysterical musical. I am wondering, was that post earlier bout annie warbucks a joke or not? Its a cute show but I dont think it could go to the hirschfield. I would like to see a South Pacific Revival (I can get away with playing Jerome one more time lol) Also I like the idea of a Funny Girl revival.

I would also like to say I am sad for all the people being put out of work by the show being cancelled before I go trying to fill it with another show. That said, A Tale of Two Cities could fill it, but plans for it are probably still too far away to book the theatre. It's not even listed on Playbill yet. :-P
