For Sweeney front row was fine, but did get a strained neck and with Michael spitting a LOT....
I sometimes like first few rows since then I can see facial expressions much better. And for "Boy From Oz", it was even more interesting....

Front row for Sweeney (Eugene O'Neil)is awesome because Patti played to us a LOT!
Front row for Pajama Game (American Airlines) is also great. The stage was at a very good level.
Front row for Wicked (Gershwin) is good. I've only sat partial view front row but it is fine for anyone who has already seen the show. I also sat front row for the Hurricane Benefit and could see fine.
I sat front row for the Secret Garden benefit at the Manhattan Center which was good because it was far away from the stage still.
Front row at the Hirschfeld will be good. I sat second row center for Charity and it was perfect.
Front row for Light in the Piazza (Vivian Beaumont) is PERFECT. Especially on the left.
Front row at the Virginia Theatre was OK. I sat there for Little Women and had to look up quite a bit but it was fine.
Front row at the Broadhurst is quite good. I sat there for Billy Crystal and it seemed as if the stage was only a couple inches above my knee.
Front row for Chicago (Ambassador) is good. The stage is really low there.
I was in the second row for Lion King (New Amsterdam) and it was not good. We couldnt see a lot of things.
I'll be sitting front row for Three Days of Rain on the 30th so I will report back on that.

The first row at "Hairspray" is awful. The time I sat there I was always looking up and, apologies to Harvey, looking up his dress wasn't pretty.
Also, all rows at "Lestat" or anyplace in the theatre where you can see or hear what is on stage.

fyi- I sat in the mezz @ Three Days during first preview, and apparently in some of the front row seats you get wet.

Yeah, I heard about getting wet at Three Days. I'll probably bring a poncho :)

Front row of Studio 54 ( for ThreePenny ) is ideal. The stage is incredibly low. The only downfall is that if you are uncomfortable you cant show it or you risk disturbing the actors. Otherwise, though, they are exceptional seats.
Front row for Sweeney (Eugene O'Neil)is awesome because Patti played to us a LOT!-- true as that may be, if you are front row, be ready for a shower from Michael!
Front row at the August Wilson is painful. I sat there when LSOH was playing and my neck was killing me by the end of the show since the stage was so high.
Front row Chicago at the Ambassador...Ow!
And Front row when I saw Nine at Eugene O'Neill. Straining a lot!
When I saw Sweeney I was in Row G, and the only thing I missed about the front was leg room! The seats are too close together!
For Jersey Boys, avoid seats in first few rows at the extreme right or left.
For The Color Purple I sat right orchestra seat F 13. It was ok but a little too close and off to the side. I would much rather have sat further back.
Has anyone been in the first few rows at Drowsy Chaperone?
Any neck problems or bad sightlines?
Yes on the Jersey Boys theater! I sat in the second row on the center aisle, and that was about as far as was ok. I felt VERY sorry for the people to my right. There is a winding staircase that blocks much of the view for them. Avoid front right side.
I saw Sweeney (third row center) and loved making eye contact with the actors throughout the show... it's a splash zone in first row, but first few rows are worth it!!

haha at Sweeney my friend and I got box seats which were great and we could see michael spitting all over everyone in the first row haha it was really funny. But i definately want to sit front or second row next time because everyone says the actors play to you which sounds great.
DRS i had fron row seats and they were perfect. Also at light in the piazza i had 3rd row seats which were phenomenal and the front row looked just as good.
Any word on the Hilton's front row?
How high is the stage?

I was in the front row orchestra right on Saturday and I could see just fine. I didn't have a sore neck and didn't miss any of the action onstage.
