Do you actually want people to speculate what would have happened, if these shows were done by different composers?
(It seems a little more interesting than just listing random shows :P).

Gee, I think back in 2004 I did an entire musical review in LA entitled - What If? with just this very premise. If you'd like to see a few of the bits, here's the link to What if Bock and Harnick, instead of writing Fiddler On The Roof, had written A Chorus Line.

Posted: 12/24/09 at 8:03pmActually (musically) Jekyll and Hyde has always reminded me a little of Sweeney Todd. It's not too much of a stretch to imagine Sondheim doing the show. I'm actually surprised he didn't get to it first, as it sounds like it's right up his alley.

I didn't think the 'Sweeney inspiration' could become any more shameless than the endless reprises of "Facade" in the Broadway production. That's interesting.
