Lizzie If you read what I wrote. The webpage has '.com.au' . I tried google but nothing came up for Australia. I just have this funny feeling that a small theater company is doing it rather than Micheal Mayer .
I read it. I know the .au suffix means Australia. You didn't try hard enough.

yet, that doesn't really provide an answer to her question, does it?
HopesS - I would say it is a version of the musical, but a google search is not turning up any confirmation
EDIT: At least this website thinks it is as well: http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/looks-like-green-day-american-idiot-musical-finally-coming-australia/

I just find it odd. That there is nothing on a search engine either

It appears that in 3 days and 19 hours, they'll announce a production of the Broadway musical American Idiot in Australia.

It's a hand grenade about to go off and they assume the person holding it is American. Hence the name American Idiot.
Hope that helps you Mr. Smith, uh I mean HopesS.

I am not Mr SMITH
I wonder if its Michael Mayer or some stupid regional theater production that QPAC always gets
I would guess the latter.

Domain name is owned by Shake and Stir Theatre Co, a theatre company in Queensland (http://shakeandstir.com.au/).
Amateur rights are currently restricted in Australia, and they're using the original Green Day album logo, not the Broadway logo so makes me think perhaps its just a live presentation of the original album.

Cheers, Thanks for that. I guess I will be avoiding it. Michael Mayer has never directed a show in Australia. And really hate that as a fact. As I believe he is one of the best directors. I guess its time for another Broadway trip. I just been . But feel like the need to go again. Might even save Sydney for later and see Aladdin in NYC. But to be honest. Groundhog Day, Comet hold my interest more. I love Disney (on the Disboards) . but those shows sound amazing. And yes I saw 'Hamilton' such a great show. Just waiting for Harry Potter to announce 2017 or 2018.
