I'm auditioning for an upcoming production and want to make sure this is a role I can actually play before I get my hopes up. I'm a bass-baritone, but not a true bass. From what I can tell, Caiaphas' lowest note in the show is a D2. Am I right, or does he go lower? Thanks.

Yeah, I believe that is correct. I couldn't find anything in a Google search but after posting the question I played the beginning of "This Jesus Must Die" on YouTube and then went to the piano and it's a Db2/C#2. I can hit it, but would need a microphone for it to be heard in a theater over an orchestra. Fortunately I'm sure that all productions of JCS are miked for stylistic reasons.

Isn't his lowest note at the end of "Jesus Must Die"?
