misschung, they got rid of that Ollies. I think there's now one on 42nd.

I vote Junior's (my favorite restaurant in Times Square) or John's. However, there are some fantastic places just an avenue or two away on 9th Avenue. The place is full of restaurants.

Fyi the Ollie's on 44th is closed.

Would you take a kid to Joe Allen's? (That's not sarcasm on my part, I've never eaten there, but it just never sounded to me like a place I'd take a kid to.)

If you go to Junior's, make sure you have the cheesecake. Avoid, at all costs, Lindy's. It's very expensive and the food is awful. I make a point of eating, at least once, at Nathan's on 44th and 8th Avenue whenever I'm in New York, but the Carnegie Deli on 57th and 7th Avenue is a must. The Corned Beef Sandwich is outstanding, and it's always busy.

Joe Allen's on West 46th Street near 8th Avenue is a great place to eat, with good atmosphere. Make sure you make a reservation one week in advance. It fills up fast.

I second Junior's Cheesecake - it is so worth the calories

John's YES, Ellen's NO, the food at Ellen's is horrid at best.

Ellen's food isn't bad, but you'll be hoarse by the end. re: What is a family friendly place to eat around Broadway?
