...and how do you like it.
I bought 3 the othr day:
Phantom of the Opera(2 disc movie st)
Wonderful Town(Donna Murphy)
The Frogs
I like them all very much, especially The Phantom movie st.
My most recent cast album purchase was a new copy of Kander and Ebb's THE RINK (Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera), to compensate for the old, scratched copy that I've had for years.
Just bought Thrill Me and Baker's Wife.
Does buying the Bright Lights, Big City CD from Sh-K-Boom count as a "cast recording"?
The very last one I bought was Mary Poppins... but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. The one before that was Woman in White, which I have listened to, and I enjoy it very much. The music from that show has been stuck in my head for days!
I would say so. I meant more of "musical theatre" related (notice the phantom movie st).

"Wonderful Town" (Brooke Shields who by the way earned my total respect)- $6 on eBay
"Wondeful Town" - (2 CD Jay set with Luker and Mason)- $9 eBay
"Mad Show" - $5 eBay
Paid full price for all those Sepia releases though..."Two's Company", "Seventeen/High Button Shoes", "After the Ball", "The Boyfriend", "Wedding in Paris/"Can Can".
I am glad the Mad Show is finally on cd, but the only song that really bears repeat listening is Lavin's dead-on "The Boy From..."
I bought THE MAD SHOW specifically for "The Boy From...", but now I can't stop listening to it. Too bad that Esteban Del Rio didn't do anything else...

Tell me about it!...lol. That's why eBay is a CD buyer's dream...:)
MEF- I hear he wrote a few musicals, nobody's really heard of them, and word of mouth is that they all suck. I mean who cares about a musical about a Barber and pies? I think he just turned 75 but not sure, it's pretty hard to find info about him...

Yeah, he wrote a show about old chorus girls, too, right? And then the one set in Sweden with clowns or something. But they all sucked.
Swedish clowns! hehe. I think the one about whistling is alright, but the one with the singing cutout pointillist paintings is so lame.
Don't even get me started on the one with the ugly dying chick with the huge mole...
The Full Monty...I love it
The Pajama Game, Carusel, Sweeny Todd and A Little Night Music all from an amazon special. I was obsessed with the DVD of Todd and couldn't wait for the new release.
