Is there a song the ensemble performs in Pippin to open Act 2? I'm talking about the song where the kid playing Theo joins the ensemble dressed as a clown.
Perhaps it is placed at a different time of the show, but it is driving me crazy not to remember what song it is.
They don't list it as a song on the CD in the playbill. It's just called Entr'acte even though there is singing included.
Is the singing part in the CD too?
in this revival
the Entr'acte is on the cd
it is when the curtain goes up and many if not all of the ensemble, theo, rachel bay jones, patina are doing acrobatics!!
The vocals that they sing are based off what I call the "radio segment" of Glory from the original production of Pippin. It was cut from the licensed version, but you can see it on the Pippin DVD with Ben Vereen and William Katt. It comes right before the Manson Trio.
I think Theo is dressed as a clown during "Magic To Do," the opening number. In Act II he remains as Theo the whole act and doesn't appear as another character.
I think it's supposed to be called "The Gates of Heaven Await"
theo is dressed as a clown during the e'antrct
I have seen the show 12 times
