I think a part of the reason I'm drawn to Broadway is to have a story or a picture in my mind that the songs enrich - so outside of cast albums, I mostly listen to songs that were played in movies or in my favorite tv shows.
But I also love Nellie McKay, Phantom Planet, and all the old-timey jazz stuff.

I'm personally a big fan of jazzy swing stuff from the 40s-50s era, which is pretty unusual for an 18-year-old straight Asian guy. Some of my favourite artists include:
