Sorry this is so long.
rentboy - Yes. That is a hard note to hit for a girl, at least when she sings in her chest voice. Most singers-in-training have trouble comfortably hitting the C below that. A well-trained belter generally can't (healthily) belt higher than an E-flat or an E before she has to go into her mix or head voice.
Vincent - Eden doesn't scream everything, but she is not singing that note in a healthy way. So why was she able to do such a long run in Wicked? First of all, singing in an unhealthy way, especially with a trained voice, and especially when it's really only a couple of times a day, does not immediately ruin your vocal chords or make you lose your voice. Or even give you a sore throat. Instead, it contributes to the long-term deterioration of your voice. I wouldn't be surprised if she couldn't sing anymore by the time she's 35. Also, the notes in Wicked are not as high as those in Brooklyn, so she doesn't have to scream them as often. Especially since the score of the show is lowered from that of the OBC.
Also, please don't be so condescending. There are plenty of intelligent people under the age of 16, and until two years ago I counted myself among them. I know that, when I was 15, I would have known that you don't "bare" something in mind unless you're imagining someone naked. About belting an A - well, unfortunately, we are not all blessed with the powers of foresight that you seem to have. We don't know how something will sound until we've actually heard it.
Finally, please respect how some people on this board do not enjoy Eden's high belt. I, personally, think that the trend of high-belting is contributing to the demise of musical theatre. And I say that as a belter.
And overthemoon- I like you.
