re: What part would you cast your mom in?

Mommy Lumpkin would be a great Munchikin in The Wizard of Oz becuase she can't sing and she is super close to being a midget!

Marme from Little Women...plus she'd love to dress up in that period wardrobe!
"Hey Joey McIntyre, is there a balcony in Madison Square Garden? Joey knows his venues a little better than me. That's okay...I have a bigger part on broadway...:)" -Idina Menzel

yeah i think i will go with donna but i really can't picture my mom in one of those disco costumes!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Ok, it's not a musical, but my mom IS Velma from Scooby Doo (the cartoon, not the movie). The hair, the clothes, the glasses, the posture, the nerdiness - totally my mom.
...and your children start to leave you from the moment they are born.

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

My mom would definitely be Donna in Mamma Mia! She has that sarcastic humor, and loves to be with her girlfriends. She's awesome.

A white, heterosexual Joanne in Rent. She's so sweet, but SUPER organized. "I Make lists in my sleep" is spot on!
Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on." - from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

re: What part would you cast your mom in?

i'd say :

Prudy Pingleton cause she's ALWAYS worried.. I will be 50 and have her calling me to see where I am lol. But, that is okay cause she's an amazing mom (so is my dad).

Velma Von Tussle because she is a producer and she's tough and doesn't take sh*t from anyone.. and she looks out for her kids.

Mama Rose lol.. it's a joke between her and I

Donna Sheridan only because we call ourselves donna and sophie. We love "Slipping Through My Fingers" my mom says that song means a lot to her because that point in the show is so real between mom and daughter.

And I also have to say Mrs. Bucket in Willy Wonka because she is very supportive of me and always tells me everything will be cool when I am down.

My mom is definitely Marmee, but wishes she were Jacqueline (La Cage. (And if she'd had the opportunity she'd have made a terrific Jacqueline.)

Emma Goldman in "Ragtime". Just without all the anarchy and such.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

re: What part would you cast your mom in?

Mame in MAME. My mom is known to have said that the role of Mame is the only role in theatre that she would want to play. And she could do it.

re: What part would you cast your mom in?

I would cast my mom as Madame Firmin becasue she only has one line and I think that's all my mom would be able to handle. re: What part would you cast your mom in?
