I believe they're waiting out for On Your Feet! to close so they can take up the Marquis.

I think this is also a possibility.

Does the Charity revival have a chance to transfer? Has there been any rumors?

There have been plenty of rumors for a Spring transfer...potentially at the Hudson or Circle in the Square (if IN TRANSIT flops). However, given BANDSTAND's set opening date and the announcement that it would open at a Shubert theatre, I have little doubt that BANDSTAND will be the next show at the Jacobs.

Everything is rumors right now anyway. Charity might be a hit with critics and audiences, but Foster has a whole season of Younger to film, no? I'd think they'd shoot in the spring, which would make it hard to do a show.

She shoots in New York, it's not impossible for her to do both. Most of the rumors I heard were for a fall transfer next year, though.

Where did this Circle in the Square rumor come from? It seems more like wishful thinking.

Cindersgolightly, that show title would be absolutely perfect if you'd incorporated Cinderella somehow. It's still brilliant though.

I'm sure it's wishful thinking, but probably because the configuration of the theater at Signature where Sweet Charity will be playing.

But from what I've seen, it looks like it could fit into a proscenium with no problem.

It would easily fit into a proscenium. If the current staging were a problem (which is not the case), it won't be the first time a thrust show will be changed to traditional proscenium. If they get the right venue, I know the current plan is still to transfer it in spring '17. But I think the onslaught of so much competition this season might stop them from moving ahead. They've generated most of the capital needed for a transfer, reportedly.

Bandstand I would have thought would be better in the Lyceum and that The Play That Goes Wrong would be ideal for the Cort.

Indecent is coming this Spring, so I suspect Bandstand at the Jacobs and Indecent at the Lyceum. The Play That Goes Wrong WOULD be ideal for the Cort, but it hasn't been officially announced, nor do we know when that renovation will be complete. All total speculation on my part, but we'll know soon!
On the one hand, Boo, shows closing! On the other hand, Yay, shows opening!

Color Purple is a great example of a thrust show staging made to fit a traditional theater.

Play That Goes Wrong is definitely happening. They should be announcing their theater soon. (Not the Jacobs as far as I know)

The Play That Goes Wrong in all likelihood will be at the Lyceum.

I really thought Indecent would go to the Lyceum. Maybe that'll take the Kerr?
