Heather, I can almost guarantee that if you look in your playbill, either Jay Wilkison or Joshua Kobak will be listed as Roger.

well that is funny since I have been assuming the Roger I loved so much was apparently someone else. All this looking up about Cary Shields has been pointless? they should inform the audience of these thing...does he look like Cary? Thanks.

Sometimes the lighting makes Jay look a little like Cary. hhaha yes I've seen it and I'm a Cary fan.
If you have seen Rent from October 15-December 24th its likely you saw Jay or Josh as Roger. As far as anyone knows Jay is is going to be back as Roger on Christmas, since Josh is going to Tarzan and we still dont know what is with Cary.

I don't mean anything saying that an understudy was on. Either Josh or Jay is listed as full-time Roger, because Cary's been out for so long.
It was not Cary. It was probably Jay. IMO he looks a bit like Cary, if you don't get a good look at his face.

Cary and Josh do not look similar (in my opinion) at all. If Roger seemed awfully Canadian, you saw Cary. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. The piece of paper inserted in the playbill tells you who you're seeing. It doesn't lie, I swear. =p

bizarre I guess I have no idea. Although I really think that it was Cary with all those tattoos...unless the other one has them too...it shouldn't really matter but I am annoyed that I don't have any idea who I was fawning over..

It's really rather simple.
If you saw a Roger that could actually sing, it was probably Cary or Jay.
If your Roger sucked, you saw Joshua.

well I think that it had to have been Cary, this guy was blond but the hair wasn't curly at all. Just longer on top and spiky. And he had lots of arm tattoos and Cary was the one listed in the Playbill.

I can't even say if you saw a blonde, it was Cary, because that man's hair color is different like every other week.

hmmm mystery, I was in the city the other night actually and I wanted to wait outside like a loser but we never got around to it...maybe some other time, good thing I live close. Well to make things less complicated I guess I will assume it was Cary. Did anyone ever notice if he has some tattoo on one of his arms that looks like writing...lifes mysteries

Cary is still all over the playbill. I just saw the show this past saturday. its the cast sheet that changes and his name hasn't been on it for weeks. Jay has one arm of tattoos, Josh has none and Cary has both arms and back (haha thank you Karmine's music video *dies*) One of the tats on Cary's arm is a tribute to Rent that says "La Vie Boheme"

well I guess that clears things up. Annoying. So I guess I can drop all my oohing over Cary Shields then! Well whoever was playing Roger did a really good job. Perhaps I should call the theater. Never even saw the name Jay in anything.
