Just wondering? You know...
Rich Man's Frug from Sweet Charity
perfected captured on film!
Runners-up: Mein Herr from Cabaret (film)
All That Jazz (Revival)
I love that dance song from Titanic ...I forget the title... Latest Rag or something like that.
Anyways... I love when Alice Bean is trying to hide from the stewart guy and starts dancing with the 1st class!
That's like asking me to choose between children or in my case chihuahuas!
Some favorites include:
"Stem Heat" from THE PAJAMA GAME
"Beat Me Daddy Eight To The Bar" from BIG DEAL
"The Jellicle Ball" and "Macavity" from CATS
"The Music And The Mirror" and "The Monster Montage" from A CHORUS LINE
"Ballet" from CAROUSEL
"Dance At The Gym", "America" and "Cool" from WEST SIDE STORY
I can't go on! There are just too many!
Love love love "I Got Rhythm" in "Crazy for You".

One of my favorite recent dance numbers was in Thoroughly Modern Millie during the typing test when they are all typing and creating the sound with their tap shoes while scooting around in the desks on wheels. I thought it was really clever and fun.

i'm a little partial to "Magic Foot" in Spelling Bee
AlixEG1, I also like the typing test dance number in TMM. It's so neat sounding!
I REALLY like "All I need is the girl" It has a lot of dancing.. and it from Gypsy...
THE RICH MAN'S FRUG!! Love it.
"Music and the Mirror", without a single doubt in my mind. My only sadness is that I haven't yet seen it performed well.
Definitely "Mein Herr" in Fosse's Cabaret with "The American Dream" in Miss Saigon not far behind.

Probably pretty much all in 42nd Street. Makes me wanna get up and try, of course I can't dance so I'll refrain from that.
And WonderBoy, you are right Steam Heat is really great as well.

I can't pick one...here's a couple of my all time favorites:
The original Rich Man's Frug from Sweet Charity
America from West Side Story
Cool from West Side Story
Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats from Cats
Anything Ben Vereen does in Pippin
speakeasy scene in Millie
Uptown Girl/This Night/Pressure...the majority of Movin out...yum
I also remember some cool stuff in that shortlived music Swing...something with bungee cords
Too many, but the ones that come to mind right now are "I Got Rythm" from Crazy for You and "Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray !

"Dancing" from HELLO, DOLLY! I love the way it starts out as a solo for Dolly then switches to the other characters. Then in a stroke of Gower Champion magic, the hat shop set whisks away and the whole ensemble joins the merriment. I love the way the girls in the circle skirts whirl across the runway and the clog dance that Minnie Fay does. Sheer brilliance!
THE WORLD NEEDS A REVIVAL OF HELLO,DOLLY! We'd be able to cope with the idiot in the White House if we could escape into the show's happiness.

Nothing can come close to a Fosse number... "Steamed Heat"..."Shoeless Joe Ballet"- and the list goes on.
I have to say that although I have major issues with the show (as in, it pretty much sucked), "Shakalaka Baby" from Bombay Dreams was HOT.
The dancing under the fountain was one of the most thrilling numbers I've ever seen.
"Plenty of Money" and the "42nd Street Ballet" from 42nd Street.
The Dance at the Gym from "West Side Story"
The Music and the Mirror from "A Chorus Line"
Rich Man's Frug from "Sweet Charity"
Turkey Lurkey Time from "Promises, Promises"
Hot Honey Rag from "Chicago" (Film)
Gotta Lot of Livin' To Do from "Bye Bye Birdie" (1963 film)
Aquarius from "Hair" (Film)
Two Lost Souls from "Damn Yankees" (Film)
Shipoopi from "The Music Man" (Film)
Steppin' To The Bad Side from "Dreamgirls"
The first thing that popped in my head was "America" from West Side STory, though I prefer the number in the film version.
EDIT: And of course "Dance At The Gym."

"Hot Honey Rag from "Chicago" (Film)" ~ Marquise
I am appalled that you prefer this over the original! I thought the film's "Hot Honey Rag" was way too slow and lacked that thrilling element that is in the original Fosse choreography.
