Posted: 3/11/06 at 1:37pm"Evita" I bought the first one thinking it was Patti Lupone but it was Elaine Page. Then I bought the one with Patti Lupone (much better) I bought the Madoona movie version but I listen to PAtti when I feel like hearing the music of Evita! PAtti still the best
I wish I could sing.

Hate to admit it but LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
1982 Off-Broadway version (That sounds so thin and over-reverberated that I don't even bother to listen to it.)
1986 Film cast (I like it but I don't listen to that one much)
2003 Broadway revival cast (I love that version the best, love the orchestrations and the cast)

The winner would be Gypsy with the OBC, the 2003 revival, the Rosalind Russell and Bette Midler films, and songs here and there from the the Angela Lansbury and Tyne Daly versions.
Second place goes to Phantom of the Opera with OBC and the film version and Fiddler on the Roof with the OBC and OLC.

The two I have the most recordings if are:
SHOW BOAT - (15 recordings)
CD: 1928 London, 1932 Broadway, 1946 Broadway, 1951 Film soundtrack, 1961 studio (Barbara Cook, John Raitt), 1962 Readers Digest strudio cast (Anna Moffo, William Lewis), 1966 Lincoln Center cast, 1971 London cast, 1988 EMI boxed set, 1988 single CD highlights, 1993 Toronto cast, + 2 CD set "The Ulitrimate SHOW BOAT collection.
LP: 1959 studio cast (Howard Keel, Anne Jeffries -and some dreary orchestral playing conducted by Henri Rene), RCA compilation "A Collector's SHOW BOAT", and a 10" Decca Lp with various pop artists for the 1940s.
CAROUSEL - (8 recordings)
Cd: 1945 OCR, 1956 Film ST, 1965 Lincoln Center cast, 1987 Studio cast (Barbara Cook, Sam Ramey), 1993 London cast, 1994 Broadway cast (6) + on Lp 1954 studio (Robert Merrill) and 1962 Studio (Alfred Drake.) In addition I still have the original Decca album on five 78-RPM's, the 1st LP edition, and a later fake stereo reissue (with a different cover.)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Olaf es el personaje en torno al cual se está centrando más la promoción de la película. Esperemos que acabe siendo un un aporte realmente valioso y entrañable, y no el típico secundario cómico que resulta incluso molesto.
No sé por qué me da que si en Frozen acabamos teniendo también a algún famosete en el doblaje, será precisamente con este personaje...
