So I have the opportunity to see a show this fall when I go to NYC, as a gift from a parent. Here’s the shortlist of ones I haven’t already seen/don’t already have plans to see that are at least somewhat intriguing to me:
- Almost Famous
- Funny Girl
- Some Like it Hot
- Beetlejuice
- The Piano Lesson
- Kimberly Akimbo
- Gabriel Byrne’s Walking With Ghosts
- Ohio State Murders
- Take Me Out
Out of this list, what would you choose? I have to say I’m leaning a little more toward to seeing a musical (already have quite a few plays scheduled for my trip), but it’s hard to narrow things down!
Lea Michele in Funny Girl is delivering one of those rare career-defining performances. The production itself remains a bit of a mixed bag, but her performance makes it an easy pick.
I'd likely also be deciding between that and Kimberly Akimbo.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
