What to see Monday 3/19?

Is there a great show worth seeing that has a performance this Monday night? I’ve seen Once on this Island, Avenue Q, Chicago, Kinky Boots. I dislike Phantom and Mean Girls. I have little interest in Margaritaville, and the friend I’m going with has seen School of Rock many times.

Possibilities I’ve identified include queens if I can get a ticket, The Lucky Ones (opening tomorrow), Babbette’s Feast, Down the Rabbit Hole at Joe’s Pub, Bright Colors and Bold Patterns.

Recent shows I’ve loved (just to give a sense of my taste) include Hello Dolly, Evan Hansen, Notes from the Field, Oslo, Jitney, Tiny Beautiful Things, Sweeney Todd.

Anyone have thoughts on which I should choose, or if there are other great options I’ve missed (including special events, concerts, benefits, etc.)?

Birdland has Constantine Maroulis in concert at 8 and Jim Caruso’s cast party at 9:30. 54 Below has Nunsense in concert.

Many Broadway theaters are dark on Mondays, so your broadway options are somewhat limited. I recommend The Low Road at The Public, which is a little heavy-handed but a fun time. There’s also The Winter’s Tale at Theater for a New Audience, if you Iike Shakespeare (although admittedly I haven’t seen it)

Neither The Low Road nor Winter’s Tale appear to have performances on Monday, 3/19.

-Newsical

-Party Face

-Drunk Shakespeare

There are a bunch of others (including most of the ones I’ve identified as contenders). I wish there were a better comprehensive NYC performing arts calendar, but you sort of have to go digging on each theater’s website, because I haven’t found a site yet that has even close to everything.

(I’ve always suspected Broadway.com takes kickbacks and excludes a lot of smaller theaters that don’t pay them, but I have no evidence for that beyond looking at what’s consistently not listed on their site.)

They probably cater to tourists like myself instead of diehard theater goers looking for “real” theater?

That might explain it except that some of what they don’t list includes big Broadway shows that cater to tourists... anyway, I suppose it’s not really relevant to what I’m asking about What to see Monday 3/19?

The Puffs is supposed to be an absolute hoot, I'm seeing it in a few weeks...so this is not personal reccomendation.

There's a thread for it if you search.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I’ve never read or seen Harry Potter, so it’s probably not for me.
