Hi, I was just wondering what's the first show everyone saw, and how did you like it. For me it was ANNIE, and I totally fell in love with musicals from that moment on.

I totally agree...she said in an interview that her daughter once told her, "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to be a boy, like you!" Um...okay? Is that supposed to be cute?

first show EVER was a children's theater production of Charlotte's Web in Detroit when in (i think) 1988 when i was 8. first Broadway show was a saturday matinee of The Music Man in 2001 when I was 21. Altho, I try to forget that I saw The Music Man, so I tell people my first Broadway show was Follies (which I saw Saturday evening right after Music Man. It was Joan Roberts final peformance in the show. Met her afterwards & talked with her for a bit--what a thrill!!)
Appropriately...JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY
The very first show that I can remember seeing is "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" at Music Theater of Wichita when I was 7 or 8. The first show I saw on Broadway was "Les Miserables" this past spring when I was 17.

first ny show was faust at la mama and they had nekkid peoples.

Egad ... that had to be at least a hundred years ago. Can't think that far back! But, 1st Bway show was Beatlemania.
The first live show I remember seeing (doesn't necessarily mean it was the first show I saw) was "The Wizard of Oz" at Radio City Music Hall.
The first show I ever saw was Mary Martin's "Peter Pan" on tape. It made me fall in love with theatre.
The first movie musical I remember seeing is "Annie", followed shortly after by "Hello, Dolly!" I was 4 when I saw both.

The first show I ever saw was a community theatre production of The Music Man, my first Broadway show was Phantom.
LOL Honestly, I don't remember that Oz thing very well. I just remember sitting like 4th row Orchestra and having a giant house flying over my head. I must have been about 7 or 8 years old.
Tour: The Wizard of Oz w/ Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt
Broadway: Into the Woods Revival
High School: Into the Woods (IT WAS SO HORRIBLE! Seriously, I hope Sondheim puts out a clause not letting High Schooler's put it on. They never do it justice)
Community Theater: Damn Yankees

The first Broadway show I ever say was HIGH SPIRITS with Beatrice Lillie and Tammy Grimes. I'd saved nickles and dime for months to buy the ticket.
The first live musical I saw (when I was 15 about a million years ago) was The Desert Song in the West End. If I saw it now I would probably fall about laughing - it would seem SO corny. But I fell in love with musical theatre after seeing it and soon became hooked and it became my passion - first as a spectator, later as a writer.
The first musical I saw on Broadway was Sweeney Todd in 1979 - and that was FANTASTIC.
first show i saw was joseph and the amazing... with donny osmond in Chicago and the 1st broadway show was Les Miz =D
My first show ever...hmm, I think it might have been the King & I. I saw Music Man and South Pacific when I was pretty young too.
My first Broadway show was Cats.
