I bought the repackaged, remastered HELLO, DOLLY!
Its only my 6th recording of the score. But, what the heck!
Yours for a better Broadway!
"Elegies" - the William Finn one. I LOVE it.
Urinetown: The Musical
That was a month ago. I've been slipping as far as buying cd's lately. I have a list though, and I will get them all eventually. LOL

Just bought 3 the other day.
MOVING OUT
"CHICAGO" SOUNDTRACK
"MAN OF LA MANCHA" NEW BROADWAY CAST
LINK: Tracy, you look beautiful behind bars!
TRACY: It must be the low-watt institutional lighting!
Nine the new Broadway Cast Album
Just picked up Amour and the remastered London 70, Girls, 70. Didn't see Amour, but it sounds very sweet and charming. The new 70 Girls sounds better than it did, but the original Broadway cast recording is still the way to go on that one.
And herewith, a tangent:
Broadway Bulldog mentioned the remastered Hello, Dolly! (which sounds pretty damned terrif), but what I wouldn't give for the London Mary Martin cast recording to come out on CD! The two tracks on the remastered disc just made me want the rest of it. (Also chomping at the bit for the London Promises, Promises, with Tony Roberts and Betty Buckley).
A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD.
Really looking forward to getting AMOUR.
The last cast recording I bought was not the original BWay Cast it was Man of La Mancha, the new Bway cast.
TMM was the last original cast recording I bought
I got Urinetown on Saturday.

"Nine". I think I played it through just once, and that's enough. It was the last OBCR of a show I have seen to come out. Next time I'm going to Azazon.com and need another pick for the free shipping I'm gonna get another copy of "Thoroughly Modern Millie", the ones in my house and in my car have gotten so much play that I'm afraid they'll wear out.
Original Broadway Cast Recording- Batboy! (Great recording)
Last CD- Godspell (200 Off Broadway Cast)
I actually bought three all at the same time. I got Merrily We Roll Along, March of the Falsettos, and Falsettoland. I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the release of the Zanna, Don't CD and definitely cannot wait until Little Shop and Wicked's CDs come out (assuming that all goes well and they get to Broadway safely). I have been focusing my energies on Merrily but as soon as I get to know that recording better, I will branch off into the other two.

I bought Batboy the Muscial (I know it's off broadway)
very fun!
The Nine revival (which I haven't stopped listening to since I bought it) and Movin' Out. I haven't really bought too many C.D.'s because that's the first thing I don't buy when I'm trying to curb my spending habits. I'd REALLY love to have Bill Finn's Elegies and Infinite Joy, though

The deluxe edition of TWHM. Yes, I'd love to have Mary's recording on CD. I do, however, have it on vinyl.
In the same purchase, I had Jerry Herman's PARADE.
My last was The Producers. I bought it at the show when it was in town. I know, they can be found for a lot less money, but you know how it is. :)

My last one was Jesus Christ Superstar. I really don't like it
I like the song "I Don't Know How To Love Him." That's about it. I hate that show, and refuse to see it. (I saw the film version once). And let me clarify (before everyone tells me how good the music is, or whatever); I hate the concept of it. I don't think it's right to turn Jesus Christ into a musical theatre/Hippy stage spectacal! And that's all I have to say about it. lol
PJ, both the Angela Lansbury and Tyne Daly cast recordings are problematic for different reasons. I think Angela sounds great, but the supporting cast on that recording is pretty woeful. It's the opposite problem with the Tyne recording...the supporting cast is strong, but Tyne is not at her best, and as others have said, she was indeed much much better in the theatre.
You might want to wait a couple of weeks, and take a listen, on line at least, to clips of the new cast recording with Bernadette, so at least you can weigh your options.
