If the Democrats had nominated anyone to run against Bush, we'd know the answer already.

Maybe our NEXT horrible president?

I realize this is a Broadway board and mocking Bush seems to be the "cool" thing to do now... but really, can't writers think of anything else? And there are people on this board who may not think he is a horrible president. Noone is saying he was the best but I think Broadway needs to lay off since half of them don't understand politics anyways.

I was thinking "Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry are only for now" but that's too many syllables.

Your Hair--is only for now

Lestat--only for now

"george bush WAS only for now"

That doesn't makes sense, though. If he "was", which is the past tense, he wouldn't be "for now."

I think they should just use the name of the next President, whomever that may be.

I was thinking the same thing Parks...I think show is just too theatrical and I don't know how well puppets would translate to the bigscreen.

Have we forgotten a little movie named "Team America"?

If they can do marionettes...then they can do AVENUE Q which is ten times funnier than "Team America" is.

They'll have to come up with a lot of "Rudy" material. As of the moment, despite his baggage, Giuliani, is close to a lock.

A lock? I wouldn't bet on it.

"A lock? I wouldn't bet on it."

The most-recent odds given by international betting concerns are are making Hillary Clinton 2-1, which is one of the worst "underlays" I've ever seen in sports or political futures. John edwards has virtually no shot at 7-1 and Rudy Giuliani is laying at 14-1. THAT is a sensational bet seeing that Giuliani is already burying Clinton and is the favorite by a considerable margin in most polls already. People are under the misguided notion that his "pro-life" stance will do him in. Not a chance.

This guy could sell ice cubes to Eskimos and in ANY debate he will slaughter his opponent.

They'll say what anyone who has good sense would say. "Hooray! Don't come back again and keep your family away from our government!".

Ugh.... and again, people who don't know politics are opening up their mouths. Guiliani hasn't even been nominated by the republican party and if/when he is, he has to accept the nomination. This is also still quite far away. I am going to try and keep my opinions out of this, but seriously, Bush IS in office. He won a clean election. GET OVER IT! He is still our president and even if you don't like him or agree with him he deserves respect. I think you all should listen to a country song titled "Have You Forgotten" by Darryl Worley. He has more sense than half the Americans out there nowadays.

America has plenty of problems. They will find some 2 syllable issue to fill the space of George Bush. They're clever people. It won't be a problem.

"George Bush was only for now"

maybe it's not the best idea but I hardly think the average audience member at Q would be bothered by the grammar of that particular sentence
