After watching the one on one with Manoel Felciano, I'd really liek to see him win over Jim Dale. He sounds like he put so much work into developing his character and working on the part. I'd love to see that rewarded.

Tom14850 - I'm with you on anyone but Diva Lupone! If they gave a Tony for Best Chin Wobble when singing or Worst Vowel Modifications when singing she'd win hands down! LOL

A COLOR PURPLE RUN..........
ditto on Stephen Lynch winning, I mean he'd be such a great winner!
I can't really give a great opinion, as I've only seen Drowsy Chaperone and Inishmore.
I would have NO problem wiht Burstein winning Featured Actor - he was true comedic gold up there. Just so amazingly vivid. I have a feeling Leavel will sweep it for comedy, and the Actor award will go to someone with a more serious role.
Any of the actors nominated for Inishmore were great, however, I did not see History Boys.
Is Drowsy Chaperone really considered an upset? I thougt it was a strong choice for winning, maybe not the unanimous favorite but still...

Kelli O'Hara winning because it would be one of the biggest upsets in Tony history.

I would love to hear Carolee Carmello's name called. It would be nice to see her recognized for the heroic work she did in Lestat, not to mention all of her great work in the past. She is due.
Same goes for Susan Hilferty's costumes designs. Truly beautiful.
I would love to see:
Ralph Fiennes winning over Richard Griffiths
Kate Burton winning over Cynthia Nixon (although I loved Nixon, Burton's performance was delightful and stirring, and she's mad overdue for a Tony)
Megan Lawrence winning over Beth Leaval
Ian McDiarmid winning over Samuel Barnett
Jayne Houdyshell winning over Frances De La Tour
I also really hope Jayne Houdyshell wins. I completely agree with the article in the Times about the naturalness of her performance -- there was no "acting" about it at all. There are other really great performances in that category, but hers was really extraordinary. (If not Houdyshell, then I hope Zoe Wanamaker wins.)

The Woman in White taking Best Score.
It's being overlooked due to its flop status, and though the lyric sometimes left a little to be desired, musically it is the strongest of all the nominees this year. It's practically textbook in perfectly designed musical form. As much as ALW drives me crazy, this was the strongest score of the season.
Drowsy wins for lyric, but musically it is not deserving of this award.
"And the Tony goes to.........::rip, rip, tear::......Audra McDonald!
(just out of habit)
Bob Martin for best actor. The funniest, most touching performance in a Broadway musical this year, despite that fact that he doesn't (really) sing.
TT
To go along with princeton...
Remember last year when they were giving instructions just before the awards went on air, they said that if you went over your time limit in your speech that your award would be taken and given to Audra McDonald!
Could you just imagine...
