Does anyone know anything about this show? I know it was done in London a few years back, and at TUTS down in Texas, but I can't find any real information on it. I have the demo recording with about 8 songs, but I was hoping someone on here might be able to shed a little more light on the show for me.
By the way-if you haven't heard the recording-track it down because it is wonderful.

Calvin actually saw the show, and I wanna say someone on the boards here was in it.
I've heard a lot from the show and it was...well...special. Not my cup of tea.
Good film though.

I did see it.
Jerby, however, was actually in it and has the best scoop. I've been pestering him for years to put "You're There, Blanche" in one of his shows.

I was blessed with anonimously being sent an archive DVD of the entire show. The Texas World Premiere starred Millicent Martin as Baby Jane and Leslie Denniston as Blanche. The production aspect was visually stunning -- it had a 2-level set for the Hudson house. Never got around to watching the entire thing, but it did look quite good from the few minutes I watched of it.

I was thinking, don't tell me they have a song that is a variation on the "but you are in the chair, Blanche," line.
Somethings are so predictible about movie to stage musical adaptations.

It is a strange show, could be done with about five people (just the main characters) but for some reason every now and again a full chorus emerge through mirrors to do ill conceived production numbers which really aren't required. Millicent Martin is marvellous, however the guy that plays the writer who comes to work with Jane on her act plays the role as though he is Madame Lucy from IRENE. There is a slight feeling of SUNSET BOULEVARD about the whole thing.
