I wish I could hear Stephanie sing "Defying Gravity." I heard that it was amazing at Birdland. She definitely looks the part. As for Heather Headley, I've heard that suggestion before. I think that it would be an interesting take on the role. I think it will be a while before a black girl is cast as Elphie though.

Wicked sucks.
Stop worrying about what I'm doing -- focus instead on what you're eating.

Why?!?!? She's green why would it matter the race of the actor?

It shouldn't. I agree. I just can't see the producers putting in a black girl.

Shoshana is amazing. She can belt the hell out of anything. She needs a starring role.

Sutton would be amazing. In fact, she did participate in the workshop of Wicked, but just in the ensemble. About casting an African American female, why not? They cast one in Les Miserables as Eponine. If the person has the talent, they deserve it. Sadly, even though we are supposed to be "equal," people find ways to get around it.

I think Heather would be amazing. I just don't see them actually doing it. If they do, I think that it will be after several white replacements.
I can't wait for Shoshana's CD now. When is it supposed to be released?

I heard one song that is probably from her album on BWW radio. It was called "Home," I believe. I couldn't find any other information on it.

Was it the "Home" from Beauty and the Beast?

No. I thought it would be when the song info came up. It wasn't though. It was a song that I had never heard before. It was a more pop style than Broadway.

That would be interesting. She has an amazing voice, but didnt she leave AIDA because she was not very kind to her costars? At least thats what I heard. If so, itll be hard for her to get a role on Broadway anytime soon.

I thought that she wanted to focus on her recording career. She's mentioned wanting to return to Broadway in the future. I don't think she would be a replacement though. She'll probably originate another role.
