considering sheri just had a son about 3 months ago, she might not be doing any full time shows anytime soon.

I realize she is doing Scoundrels. This was just an idea. not to be taken literally. Just a What if? kind of a thing.

When Idina leaves the world will implode. There is not life after Idina. I'm still finding bodies after the great Chenowith disaster of '04!
If Lincoln were alive today, do you think he'd be pleased with his tunnel?

I think Sheri would be great...I'm not sure if she can hit the higher notes though...I've never heard her sing that high...but that's not saying she can't do it.
I'm still all for Julia Murney taking over.

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

If she can sing to it and act well...why not?

Well I seem to think they might bring in Stephanie Block. Shes done the role and is now available. And being that she did Wicked songs at her cabaret from what i hear, it seems very possible.
However, my vote still goes to shoshana bean. Give that girl a place to shine. Her voice on the Wizard and I would just be WOW!
And as much as we all love Idina, life will go on. JLT is an equally wonderful glinda, its totally possible they will get an equally wonderful elphaba

What's Marisa doing after Hairspray?

About Marissa, I know she wasn't going to do Once Upon a Mattress on TV, but I thought I heard she was going to do a Broadway revival of it.

Yeah, but she's not doing it, Idina is leaving, it just seems like perfect timing.

I am almost positive that Marisa IS doing Once Upon a Mattress (TV). I thought there was an article on maybe Playbill(?) last week or so. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Wasn't there *just* a Once Upon a Mattress revival a few years ago? With SJP? Or was that a LONG time ago? I don't know. It's a good show, but let's put it aside and bring something else back that hasn't been there in awhile.

Feh. Pretty recent. We need some *old* shows. Just a couple classic Bway. But I think there was another post on this subject...

I'd kill for Sherie Rene, Julia Murney (somebody put her in a show! please!) but I'm thinking it's going to be Stephanie J. Block. She was great in BFO so I'm curious to see what she does with "Wicked".

In reference to the Marissa/Mattress question, the Playbill article actually announced that Tracy Ullman will be playing the role of Winifred in the upcoming TV movie. Marissa is involved with a movie project "Always a Bridesmaid," that is conflicting with the shooting schedule, hence a replacement being named.
I also believe that the Sarah Jessica revival of Mattress was only a moderate success and therefore another revival would not be warranted.

Whoops! I got Once Upon a Matress mixed up with The Pajama Game. Pajama Game is opening up sometime next year.
