Great article. It might not have mentioned Bette Midler's two other understudies, but it mentioned Donna Murphy. I want to know what was going through Linda Mugleston's mind when she received word she was going on for Bette that afternoon.

Did anyone see Linda's performance in Dolly? Or when she was Norma Desmond years back at a regional production? She's a solid ensemble/swing player that seems to move consistently from production to production. I'd be curious if she can anchor a show as a lead?
