Clearly, you are a moron, darling.
Why not try typing something that sounds coherent and like it came from the mouth of a person with all their mental faculties intact?

Yes, clearly you are an ignoramus. John Treacy Egan is a terrific Max who does wonderful things with the role. I loved Brad Oscar's Max as well. Both men possess rich powerful voices and great comedic ability. I've seen all the Max's (Lane, Goodman, Oscar, Stadlen, Cullen, Alexander and Kind) and John Treacy Egan is the closest you can get to Nathan Lane's original bravado turn. He really captures Max's spirit. It's fair enough to say that Nathan's original turn is unparalled and in a league of its own, but JTE's take on Max is truly wonderful in its own way as well. Believe me, STUNT casting RUINS this show. You don't want to see Kelsey Grammar hack his way thru the role. He's very talented, but isn't a musical comedy man by any stretch. Richard Dreyfuss did not pull a disk in his back, Lane did near the end of his short run, Dreyfuss's "injury" was a smokescreen for his sheer inability to do the role.
And the show isn't closing anytime soon..it's still turning a great profit and a hit amongst audiences. The hype has died down, but that's to be expected some 5 years and a bit after its opening! Maybe Margo, the voice of reason, can chime in here.

BialyBloomInc02 - I so nearly posted this morning to say that the Dreyfus injury was a smoke screen and that he was pulled, but I couldn't find anything to back me up, so I thought I was imagining it, but I was sure that was what I'd heard at the time. So thanks for restoring my faith in my mental capacity!
I was so gutted that I didn't get to see Lane, but I was in France last academic year.

He was replaced before the first invited dress rehearsal. It became clear from rehearsals that he could not handle the role. He admitted as much on a UK chat show the weekend before he was let go. Of course it was all dressed up in much more friendly language.
Oh and isnt Christopher Hanke the guy from In My Life and Fame on 42nd St? Nice voice and kinda cute.

Meaning the interest in this topic has dwindled. This thread is no more important than any others. Let people bump it if they choose to respond. Having you bump it every hour will just get annoying.

It was going down because nobody gives a crap about this thread. If people care, they will post on it, and it will bump naturally. People are going to get very angry if you continue to bump your own thread.

Because if people were interested they would read and reply!!
The bottom line is this: if you don't want to be burned at the stake, stop bumping your own thread.
