Have you ever seen a show that you loved, only to go back a year later to find that cast replacements have made the show a horrible experience?

"You saw Hairspray, didn't you?"
That was going to be my question! Either that or RENT, which hasn't been good since 1999.

Posted: 7/29/08 at 11:25amGreat guess! And, you're correct. I saw it last weekend. I loved the show when I first saw it a year ago. The cast was great. However, on this past visit to the musical, I was in total shock at how bad the cast replacements were. The Georg could barely play the piano (and what's with his hair?), the Melchior could barely sing the show. The Moritz was very good, but a bit over the top. Still, I was a bit shocked at how fast this show went down hill after they replaced the origianl cast.
