Lol, Mef.
Maybe they'll revive it at Disney World.

Well what about a concert version? Two weeks after never?
No. Six months after hell freezes over.

I want it now! I really would like to see it!
Aida is getting tons of regional productions. It will be seen for years to come, but not on Broadway.
It's not old enough for a revival!! I think the time period is 10 to 15 years.

I'll be performing the title role in my living room tonight. Feel free to bring a friend.

Realistically, I don't see Disney reviving any of their shows until they are all closed in the first place...
Probably never. More likely, it'll have a long life in regional theatre.
*goes to Kringas' place*
I doubt it. Maybe in a really long time from now but...
I strongly disliked this show and I think I'm the only person who did on this board.

Em, wait till you hear my "Easy as Life." You'll get chills, I tell you. Chills!
You definitely aren't the only person who felt that way, WickedRocks.
Kringas, I feel pre-emptive shivers coming on! Who's gonna be Radames?

I'm not sure yet. It's always hard to dole out the boy parts when I stage my shows. Imagine that.
You could always stage the first-ever gender-reversed production of AIDA.
It's not old enough yet... and I have a feeling there will never be an Aida Revival.
That seems reason enough for a revival.
ETA: the gender-reversed production, that is.

I do have a flair for gender reversed productions, as anyone who has attended a birthday party of mine will admit. Aida is on the short list for next year's show, but I've still got several other options to consider.
I agree that it is way too soon for an Aida revival, as it just closed in 2004, but I definately hope that there would be one eventually.
It's being performed in Frankfurt if you'd like to fly over to see it. :P
if there is any good at all there will be no revival. ever.
