i'll be repaying my 2 best friends who have me over for sunday dinner all the time. i have them once a year for a big fancy dinner and the tonys. we've been doing it for over 25 years, and i have the deteriorating video tapes of the tonys and yellowed articles from the nytimes re winners, to prove it. we dont include any of are other friends, as there lack of interest is distracting. one year when the chicago bulls were in playoffs, and everyone was watching that, we ordered pizza (fancy dinner), and the cute stoner delivery kid came in while they were doing a medley of shows on the tonys, and he said, "you guys watchin Annie?! hahaha
More than likely at my house, with a few friends. As long as the weatherman doesn't interrupt again this year I'll be fine. The past two years he has interrupted, and it literally makes me want to hop in my car, drive to the news station, and interrupt his forecast segment.
BWay Fanatic- got my ticket from the BroadwaySpace website...really easy!

see you there! :)
Representing Louisville too, a group of friends and I always get together and have a "Tonys Dinner" and watch the awards. We try to come up with a Tony themed menu of the nominated shows and people. A few years passed included "Grey Garden Salads" and "Legally Blondies".
Hey! I'll be at the Broadwayspace.com party too! really excited.
I was hoping there would be a Tony lottery again, like last year. That was a great night (waiting for the lottery and the actual Tonys.) But my friend confirmed that there won't be.
Awesome, I'll see you guys there. I'm really excited for this party, I think it's gonna be a lot of fun!

"Where are you watching the Tonys?"
On the toilet!
I won't, I'll be watching "The Merchant of Venice" in Central Park. *happy dance*
I'll see you there BWayFanatic, I'm really excited to meet some of you in person, and for the free giveaways haha
I'll be at a party for the awards, but plan to engage the other uninterested parties in conversation rather than watch.
The few nominees I care about will continue to work in NY theatre whether they win or not, and I can't raise any enthusiasm about any of the shows.

I'll be on my couch. For the first time, I'll be watching it alone because my mom and sister are going to Mall of America this weekend, and their flight back comes in at around 8:30. Hopefully, my dad and brother won't interrupt me. My dad might watch Million Dollar Quartet perform. Last year, he walked into the room as Rock of Ages performed during the opening, and then he just decided to stay for the rest of the telecast just to see if they would win anything.
If I get a callback for a community theatre production of Hairspray, I will be recording it on my DVR and watching it when I get home. If not, I will watch it as it airs at my house.
At home.
Truthfully, the Tony telecast on CBS is becoming a bigger joke every year. It's as though it is their charitable act of the year to broadcast the Tony's. CBS is not showcasing Broadway to the world, they are making it look like an amusement park attraction.
Anybody think that one day the ATW will consider a different, perhaps less lucrative deal with a better network (I'm honestly, I know it sounds crazy, thinking PBS) to do a better job of showcasing and embracing the theatre season?
One can dream...
I am having a virtual Tony party for my blog. If any of you are interested, it will be located here: http://www.chatzy.com/630724555925. Create an alias and type' MTBTonys2010' into the password field. Once you enter the main page, click 'Join Chat' at the bottom of the window.
I'll be on the couch in my underwear with a bottle of Excedrin handy for when FELA performs.
At home rooting for Memphis
