Carl- you have the right to your opinion and to even post these. But the problem is is that you dont post- you attack. Maybe you could consider saying these nicely, still saying what you think, but without bitterness and negativity. Just perhaps...

I have a feeling I am goning to regret this "lets try to love and respect each other" post
oh your fine mebrice. You said it quite nicely. BUT lets get back to the topic of the thread.
How are you sure it's him?
exactly my point!
What do you want? My Social Security Number? Yikes! I put my name, my e-mail address, and a photo of me that no one else has (until now, of course). Believe what you want to believe, my friends – musical theater is all about myths anyway. For those of you who close your eyes and clap your hands because you DO believe in JRB, you DO, you DO, thanks for all the kind words.
J.
Oh who cares if it is or isn't. He seems like a nice person and gives some very detailed info about Mr. Brown so whoever it is must know him. Plus, I PMed him and he gave me some relevent information about USC that only someone who worked there would know. So I want to believe it is him.
you see?

As far as I can see, it's a useless waste of time to speculate on whether he is or isn't Jason Robert Brown. I haven't seen anything to indicate otherwise, so I'll naively say I trust this poster, who appears to have gone back to lurking anyway.
Considering how many fakes have been caught, which I'm sure many of you remember, I'd trust that the ones who manage not to be deleted are in fact real.
I am sorry ... I have to laugh. I am skeptical..but I am not too sure what to call you guys. Why are you guys so suprised? Marc Shaiman, Anthony Rapp...let's face it people do read boards and now they are starting to post.
Mr. Brown..I clap because I believe. Thank you for your beautiful work.
Wow, You just never know who's going to pop up and post on this site these days! I, for one, say Welcome to our crazy fold!

Hi jrb. you have great music.
By the way, I was at the Wall-To-Wall Sondheim thing, and while I didn't manage to last until your panel (I hadn't eaten anything that day, and I got like, 3 hours of sleep the night before), I DID manage to get my hands on a recording of the radio broadcast (from...Mister Matt, I believe?), and I thought it was fascinating that you chose "By The Sea".
To sum it up, while Sweeney Todd is (like so many Sondheim shows) filled from top to bottom with fantastic songs and rhymes, I personally thought that "By The Sea" was one of the best numbers in the show, and it was validating that it stuck out to you as well.
To sum it up even more, I enjoy it when people agree with me.

I just saw this thread for the first time. As I was beginning to read it, I saw Jason's first post and already sensed that the vultures were approaching. I scrolled down and discovered that I was right. At least it's nice to see that for the one (I think there's only one) vulture on this thread, there are many more who are happy to hear some news from Jason regarding upcoming events.
Carl Magnum-If you don't believe it's Jason or don't care for his work (both of which seem to be true of you) you don't have to join the thread. I'm all for free speech and open debate on the boards but if you have nothing to contribute here, I'd rather you don't ruin the oppurtunity for other posters to communicate with someone they admire and get some updates on upcoming shows by harrassing him. You can even put him on your ignore list if you want.
PS-I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if this was someone else impersonating Jason.
Jeez...yes it 'IS' him. Michael John LaChuisa also posts on this web site! He sent me a private message and I almost went through the roof. All we need now is for Bill Finn, Adam Guettel and Ricky Ian Gordon to post. Then this truely will be broadway WORLD.

Ahhh, you're a Peter Pan fan! This confirms the opinion that you have impeccable taste. ^.~
I believe in you! *claps and brings you back to life*
Welcome to the boards.
Also, I just wanted to say that I greatly respect what you've done for the musical community--L5Y is one of my favorite musicals and I've introduced soooooo many people to musicals through it. I can name so many now who love your show when before it was just me. Kudos!

I think JRB is a pretty classy guy.
Having said that, I've never seen him perform. But, by making this extra effort to reach out to his fans, I will endeavor to see him perform if he makes it back to the North east corridor again. LA is a bit out of my loop.
Without any doubt, it's Jason Robert Brown. So let's end any doubt or speculation that anyone had...
ooh, now it would be fun if we could get Guettel and LaChiusa posting regularly on the board. Maybe the three (with JRB) could have some interesting conversations on the board...locked from our own idiotic comments, of course.
I somehow doubt Bill Finn will be posting here, though. I don't think he is computer crazy.
*claps, then applauds wildly, wondering if there's any real difference*
Welcome to the board, Mr. Brown!
