Which are the easiest shows to rush?

I'm planning on spending the weekend in the city and trying to rush a bunch of shows if I can (I'm a student). I was wondering if any of you guys have any input as to which shows are reliable to rush vs. which shows I should actually buy tickets ahead for. The shows I'm potentially thinking of seeing are The Normal Heart, Sister Act, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Billy Elliot, and Chicago.

I just grabbed one of the cheap seats for "The Normal Heart". It was for the next to the last row in the balcony and I ended up sitting in the second row balcony as they allowed us to move down right before the show started. The view was fine. I think the ticket was like 27 bucks. A great deal for a great show.

It wasn't rush. That is the actual price of the ticket. I just walked up to the box office an hour before the performance and purchased it.

I rushed The Normal Heart on Wednesday. Got there at noon and got pair in the 10th row of the orchestra. I've sat in the last row of the mezz and I'm glad that I paid the extra $10 to be closer. Its a general rush for $36.50. Either way, make sure you see this show! It's a limited run and the musicals you mentioned will probably be around for your next trip to the city. And bring tissues!

People in the Picture is ridiculously easy to rush. Just show up 5 minutes before curtain (or whenever you have time on the day of the performance), get a rush ticket for $27 rear mezz and move down to front mezz after the ushers tell you so. The show never sells out.
I actually enjoyed it quite a bit though I know that many folks here see it differently.

The Importance of Being Earnest is easy. $22.
Born Yesterday and Normal Heart have cheap Rear Mezz tickets ($26.50). Both very good plays.

Lombardi ($37 general, $27 student), That Championship Season ($29).

Catch Me If You Can if you have a student ID ($27).

Priscilla has a lotto for $40. 2 1/2 hours prior to curtain is when they start taking names. But, you can get balcony tickets for about $50, maybe a little less. It definitely would make you guaranteed to get in. And, I think the seats are probably better than the front row at least to see everything on stage.

I rushed Normal Heart's evening performance on Mother's Day. Showed up at about 12:15ish after rushing Sister Act (not an easy rush, I waited just over 4 hours for those tickets) and got 4 tickets in the first row of the rear mezz which I thought was an incredible view. The show is not to be missed.

Also, I used my student ID to get tickets to Catch Me If You Can on Wednesday and I got there right at 10. $27, row O of the mezz, which I found a fine view. (I also found the show kinda meh, but that's just my opinion).

The Billy Elliot student rush is only on weekdays, I believe.

I got half price tickets for Priscilla from TKTS for a Monday show and ended up in the second row of the mezz. Absolute perfect seats for that show. I've sat in the front row in the Palace for Legally Blonde and Aida - the high stage was fine for both of those shows, but I wouldn't recommend it for Priscilla.
