Posted: 6/6/08 at 1:17pmI strongly recommend the DVD - Ed Sullivan: The Best of Broadway Musicals, which is available on Netflix. Also, try going to www.bluegobo.com and looking at some of the clips from the 50s & 60s. Many of those clips were from the Ed Sullivan Show.

I'd have to vote Suzanne Somers, too, for all the wrong reasons. She contributed a pretty unforgettable evening of theatre for me, not gonna lie. Her singing "If I Only Had a Brain" against domestic violence sound effects was jaw-dropping in one of those "Is this really happening?" ways that I haven't seen since.
