I've only seen Phantom, Cats, and Miss Saigon. Out of those three I like Phantom the best.

TECHNICALLY I have never seen any of them onstage, however I was in Les Mis a few years ago and have seen the POTO movie (SUCH a letdown) and saw a filmed version of Cats.
SOooo... 1. Les Mis
2. POTO (love the music, if not the movie)
3. Cats
4. and by default MS

Les Miserables is my favorite overall, followed closely by Phantom of the Opera. I've never seen Miss Saigon, but I do enjoy the score. Cats is probably my least favorite...I don't understand why it stayed open as long as it did.

Miss Saigon is the only one that I've actually seen...but going off of the sound track I'd put them in this order:
POTO
Miss Saigon
Les Mis
Cats
POTO
Miss Saigon
Les Mis
Cats

Well, I'm playing Jean Valjean in a production of LES MISERABLES right now in Dallas, so maybe I'm a little biased when I say it is my favorite of the four by FAR! Following LES MIZ would be:
2. Miss Saigon
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. CATS (although I absolutely hate it and really don't even consider it being good enough to follow POTO)

Interesting...here's what people think so far...
Les Miserables-29
Phantom-11
Saigon-9
Cats-5
I personally thought Phantom would be faring better.

Phantom and then Les Mis is a VERY close second. I guess Miss Saigon would be third and then Cats.

I would have to say Les Mis then Phantom, even though I have never seen Les Mis (other than the 10th Anniversary DVD), it is the show I have the most cast recordings from so I'd have to put it first.
Miss Saigon and then Cats. I've never seen Cats on stage either but didn't like it when it was on PBS.

Les Mis more than anything.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
