Avenue Q, by far. Everyone wandering around, trying to discuss the songs without actually saying any dirty words.

Same with me. Audiences during Hairspray were like, "That was the end of Act One? Isn't there supposed to be a big number or something?"

Or, I remember once during West Side Story, the audience froze in shock from the death for about half a minute into intermission.

Wicked has the bestest intermission because people are always talking about Elphidina flying high and defying normalcy.

Hey, how about the intermission during THE BOY FROM OZ - everyone makes a beeline for the washrooms fast because you don't want to be chosen as BICOASTAL victim if you are late for the first number of the second act?!! Or maybe some people do

I know you are only looking for current shows, so don't read my post.

Cats because you could walk onstage at intermission and stand centerstage where Barbra Streisand stood years ago to sing "People".

I once saw a community theater production of "The Odd Couple" where during intermission two women stagehands came onstage dressed as cleaning women to clean up the mess. Their act was funnier than the show.

I LOVE The CHICAGO Intermission because you spend the whole time wondering "Is Roxie REALLY pregnant?"


P.S. There was a song called "Intermission Talk" in ME AND JULIET which depicted an Intermission on Stage!

I like the intermission for RENT becasue it's the only time I ever talked to anyone during intermission was to talk to all the new friends I had made in the rush line about how much fun we were having...

The intermission of RENT sometimes makes me want so slap people. I hear the most ignorant questions EVER, like "Why does Mimi have AIDS? Only gay people have AIDS. Is Mimi gay??"-- I swear I've actually heard that. But, usually, the RENT intermission is fun.

I think into the woods has the best intermission. Its as if the show was already over and the fairy tales have been changed enough... but theres more for them when they sit back in their seats.

During the intermission of SWEENEY TODD. My friend turns over to me and is like "Is the second act anything like the first act?" I said "A bit, it's darker and scarier." She goes "well then, I'm going to be scared ****less" Best intermission conversation I've had with anyone.
