I have a friend who is into theatre. He likes going but by no means is he as into it as I am by any stretch. He and I want to plan our second outing to the theatre this week at some point. I do plan on going Wednesday afternoon ( I have a ticket to Wicked that night and I LOVE seeing two shows in one day and it has been a long time since I did that) and then go Thursday night before I go to my first Don't Quit Your Night Job. I am going to see Sunday in the Park With George and Curtains I just don't know which I am seeing on what day. I guess it would depend on when my friend can go with me.
That being said, which one should I take him to. Sunday in the Park with George or Curtains. He has said before that when it comes to seeing a Broadway show with me he isn't picky and would see any show that is on Broadway. That does a GREAT job of narrowing it down for me (note the sarcasm.) What do you suggest. Personally I have seen Sunday once and I will see it again before it closes and I have seen Curtains twice and loved it both times and will also see that before it closes as well.
I think everyone should see Sunday in the Park With George. Take him to see that.
SUNDAY
i think that everyone enjoys a good musical comedy, so i'd go with curtains
Sunday, no question.
Take him to the more traditional of the two - Curtains.
Curtains.

I also think that when we go will have to do with what we see. What I mean is that I was going to pick up the tickets on TDF but they only are offering Sunday for Wednesday afternoon while Curtains is offering for Wednesday and Thursday.
I will talk to him and see.
curtains.
Curtains
Both are classy shows I'd see again and again. I favor Sunday, but only because its a more emotional, cerebral experience. Though if you want laughs and traditional musical comedy, Curtains is your show.

Curtains is definitely more universal. And it's closing oh so soon... go see that.
Curtains. I agree it's more universal. Besides, it'll be a long time before we see this much talent or a company that has such much fun together, on a stage. Whatever you decide to see, have a great time.
Sunday is a beautiful piece of art while Curtains is a great, fun, musical comedy. I bet your friend would enjoy Curtains more.
I do think he would enjoy Curtains more. However, what we see depends on when we go only because I would be getting the tickets via TDF. I can get Curtains both wednesday and Thursday. Whereas for Sunday I can only get it for wednesday.

I think Curtains may appeal to someone who is looking for a more traditional Broadway experience.
I'm curious as to why you like to see 2 different shows on the same day. I was thinking about that but decided against it since when a show really appeals to me, it takes me days to get the songs and show out of my mind. I would think seeing 2 in one day would take something away from the experience. Just throwing it out to see what most people think..
Sunday is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have in the theatre right now.
Curtains is fun and upbeat.
It really depends on what you're into, but I'd go with Sunday.

SITPWG- it took my breath away!
He couldn't go on Wednesday so by default we are seeing Curtains. I did however use the Hiptix code to get a fifteen dollar ticket to the show wednesday afternoon.
I am looking forward to seeing both of these amazing shows one last time.
Curtins
Even though I just raved about Sunday in another thread a few minutes ago, I agree with posters who say to go with Curtains...as it is the more tradtional and "user-friendly" of the two. Plus, I am listening to it right now and thinking about how much I enjoyed it.
