Screw it. Go all the way. Add all of them, even if it's only on the recording. Put it in the show order. Satisfy a couple completists out there who would want an album with all of 'em on it.

I would like to hear the title song worked into the Overture, sounding much like it does on the Jason Alexander/Vanessa Williams recording. In addition I would like to see "Spanish Rose" moved to the spot before the Shriners' Ballet; I've never cared for it so late in the show. Other than that I wouldn't care either way for the rest of the additional material.

As long as Kathleen keeps her mitts off this one, I'm happy.
Am I the only one who thinks Mae's "So it's come at last" speech is much more of a showstopper than A Mother Doesn't Matter Anymore? It's a fine song, but I don't see how it improves on what's already there.
Ziggy, Marshall isn't involved. Thank God.
I say keep it the way it is. No changes.
Roundabout basically makes revisions to any revival they do. And BIRDIE will need some minor work. I'm sure it will be like their PAJAMA GAME revival. Added songs, and a spruced up book.
The added songs for Pajama Game did nothing for the show.
I can see adding Mae's song and the title tune, but Rosie and Albert have enough to sing. I hate "A Giant Step", Rose's Ballad, and most of all, that awful reprise for Albert of "What Did I Ever See in Her". Birdie has enough songs, adding even more will make it tedious.
Here's hoping they don't try to pull anything from Bring Back Birdie. Although Mae's song in that show would be fantastic.
I agree the only songs that seem likely to be added are the title song and Mae's song. Though I think there is a chance for "A Giant Step." I'm sure the title song is pretty definite; they just need to choose where to put it in the show.

I just don't know if a number about Albert overcoming his overhearing Mother is necessary, especially that late in the show. I think the scene is enough.

i LOVE "A Mother Doesnt Matter" and I hope they add that into the show. It is one of the only songs I actually enjoy in BIRDIE.
Bring Back Birdie should be erased from the annals of musical-theater history.
It was the nadir of 20th-century drama.
Seeing it was such a scarring experience for me that I hated all theater for several years afterward--and almost went straight.
For years, I would curse at the very mention of the name "Joe Layton." The sight of Chita Rivera dining at the West Bank Cafe would cause me to hiss uncontrollably, until friends subdued me by whistling the score to Bajour.
Still, to this day, the thought of the song "Rosie," which I loved dearly, causes a recurrence of my PTMSD (post-traumatic musical stress disorder).
Don't bring back ANY of Bring Back Birdie. I BEG YOU!
